Debbie Withers is a counsellor for BCS and has a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Wolverhampton
This qualification is accredited by the British Psychological Society.
Debbie’s extensive counselling training and experience has been based on the two core counselling models of person centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She is a graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and an Associate Lecturer in Psychology and Counselling for the Open University.
Debbie has a wide range of counselling experience including several years of careers and student counselling within the NHS and private relationship counselling. Her area of specialism is helping those with weight and eating related distress. She has carried out research into weight management, body dissatisfaction and eating disordered purging as well as co-writing psycho-educational and supported self-help programmes relating to weight management and eating disorder recovery.
Ann
Curley is a BACP Accredited Counsellor. As well as working in
private practice, she is employed by the NHS and Beacon Counselling
Service as a counsellor.
Ann is trained as an Integrative Counsellor having completed the Advanced Diploma in Counselling at Manchester University in 2000. She is able to apply a range of counselling models in her practice but has particular experience in offering person centred and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Since qualifying as a counsellor and as part of her commitment to continuing professional development, Ann has aquired numerous additional counselling certificates, including a certificate in counselling children and accreditation by the British Infertility Counselling Association.
Whilst providing counselling for a wide range of issues, Ann has specialist experience in supporting couples experience infertility, working with children and adolescents and working with both adults and children who have experience trauma.
Ann has previously worked as a part time tutor on the counselling certificate course and on other short counselling courses.
